Volunteering
With the assistance of volunteers and supporters from around the world, we are making an invaluable contribution to the lives of vulnerable children, particularly within Uganda. CALM Africa will continue to develop its programmes and initiatives within this region and look to extend them throughout Eastern Africa.
Make a change
Volunteer with CALM and you can:
- Teach in one of our schools
- Help troubled youths gain practical skills at one of our vocational learning centres
- Contribute to the community by helping with home visits, assessments and designing intervention plans for some of Uganda’s poorest children and families
- Contribute to the community by helping with home visits, assessments and designing intervention plans for some of Uganda’s poorest children and families
- Use your professional skills to help us further develop the services we offer to vulnerable young people in Uganda and across Africa
Former volunteers speak of their time in Uganda being a life-changing experience – opening their eyes to the issues that exist and the determination of a young nation to recover from the horrors of its past.
